Red Lincoln
Road Trip

2001
from the series Going

My partner John and I embarked on a San Diego-to-Oregon trip to visit his Aunt Bar in Ashland. The California Central Valley, the Sacramento Delta, the northern California coast, the brilliantly-lit deciduous forests on the California-Oregon border and the sunless stands of firs in southern Oregon—These were some of the sights along the way. We had eight days to make the trip, and John, driving his shiny red Lincoln Town Car, wasn't about to waste any time. This portfolio documents that trip.
